Great value on my first purchase

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal. I picked up a Bargain Saber during their clearance event. The price was fantastic for a Combat Ready Saber. I saved a good chunk compared to what I expected to pay. Shipping took about 9 days. It felt like a solid purchase, definitely worth the money for what I got. I'll watch out for future sales.

Detailed thoughts on my new saber

I ordered a Proffieboard Saber from Vf Sabers about two weeks ago. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, letting me customize a few hilt options. It took 12 days to arrive in California. The saber came with clear instructions for charging and changing sound fonts. The build quality of the Custom Hilt Saber is impressive; it has a good weight and the finish is smooth. The soundboard works great, with crisp audio and smooth swings. The Polycarbonate Blade is durable, I tested it lightly against another saber and it held up fine. My only minor feedback is that more detailed video tutorials for advanced Proffieboard features would be helpful for new users.

Good saber, fast delivery

I bought an RGB Saber. It arrived quickly, about 7 days. The saber works well. It was exactly what I needed. No problems.

Consistent quality, returning customer

This was my third purchase from Vf Sabers, this time an Apprentice Saber for my nephew. Just like my previous orders, the quality was consistent. It arrived in about a week and a half, well-packaged. I appreciate that their Bargain Sabers still feel sturdy and not cheap. I keep coming back because their products are reliable, and I haven't had any issues with electronics across my different sabers. They've maintained good service over the years, which is key for me.

Love my new Xenopixel saber!

My new Xenopixel Saber is amazing! The colors are so vibrant and the sound fonts are incredible. It got here in about 10 days, super fast. I am so happy with this purchase, it feels so authentic. I'll absolutely shop here again!

Hey guys, thinking about grabbing one of those bargain sabers. Can I use a coupon code on top of that? Just trying to stack savings if possible.

A Anna Okafor 2 months ago

Nah, I tried that last Black Friday. The bargain sabers are already discounted pretty heavily, so codes usually don't work on 'em. It says so in their coupon policy, I think.

Yeah, pretty sure it's one or the other. Bargain prices are good enough on their own though for what you get.

Any info on how their sabers compare to Ultrasabers? Thinking about getting my first one and can't decide.

R Raj Doyle 2 months ago

VF Sabers generally uses better electronics and offers more advanced options like Proffieboard and Xenopixel out of the box, which Ultrasabers sometimes skimps on. Ultrasabers can be cheaper, but VF usually has better sound and effects.

VF has more modern tech, especially with the neopixel stuff. Ultrasabers feels a bit outdated by comparison sometimes, though their hilts can be cool.

Does signing up for their newsletter get you a discount code?

T Todd Brooks 3 months ago

Yeah, usually. Most sites do that. I think I got a 10% off code when I first signed up. It came in the welcome email pretty quick.

I got one! It was a small percentage, like 5-10%, but every bit helps.

Anyone know if VF Sabers has a military discount? My buddy was asking.

L Laura T. 2 months ago

They do! My brother used his. I think you have to verify it somehow, probably through a service like ID.me at checkout.

G Gwen 2 months ago

Yep, military and first responder discounts are usually available. Check their FAQ or try applying a code at checkout, it should pop up if you qualify.

What's the typical wait time for a saber to arrive? I'm in NYC, planning a trip and wanna know if it'll be here before I leave.

O Omar 3 months ago

Lead times can vary a lot, especially for custom stuff. I got a basic RGB saber a few months ago and it took about 3 weeks from order to my doorstep in California. Might be worth asking them directly if you have a tight deadline.

My neopixel took like 4-5 weeks, but that was during May the 4th, so peak season. NYC probably similar shipping time to the rest of the US once it's out.

I'm torn between a Neopixel and an RGB saber. What's the real difference in person?

A Amber 3 months ago

Neopixel is way brighter and the blade effects are just next level, like igniting and melting. RGB is good for a basic glow and color change, but Neopixel is super immersive. If you want a real showpiece, Neopixel all the way.

R Rosa Osei 3 months ago

RGB is cheaper and fine for banging around. Neopixel is for the cool factor, but those blades are more delicate and cost more.

Are VF Sabers legit? I've seen some mixed reviews for other saber companies, just want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off.

L Laura 2 months ago

Totally legit. I've ordered from them twice. Good quality, and their customer service was responsive when I had a question about a sound font. They're a real company, not some fly-by-night operation.

Yeah, they're solid. Not as big as Ultrasabers maybe, but good quality for the price. Never had an issue.

Are these sabers actually good for dueling? Or just for display?

D David 2 months ago

A lot of their sabers are specifically marketed as 'combat ready' or 'dueling sabers'. I've bashed my RGB one around a bit with friends and it's held up great. Just make sure you get a polycarbonate blade, not neopixel for heavy dueling.

A Alex G. 2 months ago

They've got a whole section for combat hilts. The blades are super tough. Neopixel is more for effects, not smashing.
