Nah, I tried that last Black Friday. The bargain sabers are already discounted pretty heavily, so codes usually don't work on 'em. It says so in their coupon policy, I think.

Any info on how their sabers compare to Ultrasabers? Thinking about getting my first one and can't decide.

VF Sabers generally uses better electronics and offers more advanced options like Proffieboard and Xenopixel out of the box, which Ultrasabers sometimes skimps on. Ultrasabers can be cheaper, but VF usually has better sound and effects.

VF has more modern tech, especially with the neopixel stuff. Ultrasabers feels a bit outdated by comparison sometimes, though their hilts can be cool.

Lead times can vary a lot, especially for custom stuff. I got a basic RGB saber a few months ago and it took about 3 weeks from order to my doorstep in California. Might be worth asking them directly if you have a tight deadline.

My neopixel took like 4-5 weeks, but that was during May the 4th, so peak season. NYC probably similar shipping time to the rest of the US once it's out.

Neopixel is way brighter and the blade effects are just next level, like igniting and melting. RGB is good for a basic glow and color change, but Neopixel is super immersive. If you want a real showpiece, Neopixel all the way.

RGB is cheaper and fine for banging around. Neopixel is for the cool factor, but those blades are more delicate and cost more.

Are these sabers actually good for dueling? Or just for display?

A lot of their sabers are specifically marketed as 'combat ready' or 'dueling sabers'. I've bashed my RGB one around a bit with friends and it's held up great. Just make sure you get a polycarbonate blade, not neopixel for heavy dueling.

They've got a whole section for combat hilts. The blades are super tough. Neopixel is more for effects, not smashing.
